Based in Ashton on Mersey Sale, most of our work is in the Manchester (Trafford) area.
I have been self employed with my own business for over 10 years since 1994. In 2006
Conway Builders became KLC Builders Ltd, trading as Conway Builders.
Before then I worked for two companies (small local businesses)
Whilst at school and through the holidays I was helping out on building sites, learning
how to use a brush and a kettle.
From leaving school (St. pauls, Urmston) I walked straight into the building trade, I
worked for Peter Williams Builders & Joiners for 5 years & then went onto work for Ron
Bullock Construction for 2 years.
After I left school I also attended North Trafford College (Stretford) for a 1 year day
release course, here I had the choice of multi trades.
Once leaving North Trafford I decided to go for bricklaying as my main trade, so I
enrolled on a 3 year course at MANCAT college of building in Manchester City Centre
where I achieved a City & Guilds NVQ level 3, I also learnt all other Building skills
including; Drainage, Scaffolding & Roofing etc.
From leaving Mr Bullock I decided the only way to achieve my goals would be to work
for myself.
Since setting up & establishing my business 'Conway Builders' over 12 years ago, I
have never looked back, always looking forward.
